About the Beatles Abbey Road Design
This Beatles kids band t-shirt features the legendary Abbey Road album cover — one of the most recognisable images in music history. The famous photograph shows John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr walking across the zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios in London.
The image was captured on 8 August 1969 by photographer Iain Macmillan during a short photo shoot that lasted only a few minutes. Traffic was briefly stopped while the band walked back and forth across the crossing as Macmillan took the photographs that would later become the final album artwork.
