This Beatles babygrow is inspired by the world of Yellow Submarine — one of the band’s most colourful and creative projects.
It all started with the song Yellow Submarine, released in 1966 and sung by Ringo Starr. A couple of years later, it grew into a full animated film that introduced fans to Pepperland — a bright, music-filled world under threat.
In the film, the Beatles travel through strange and surreal landscapes inside the Yellow Submarine, taking on the Blue Meanies and bringing music back to life.
The artwork, led by illustrator Heinz Edelmann, gave the film its distinctive psychedelic style — bold colours, unusual shapes and a completely different take on how a band could look on screen.
